What is considered good prices for tanks and lighting?

Where i live for glass tanks its like a dollar agalon ex: 20 gallon tank is 20 bucks. Acrylic is more expensive. For LIghting it just depends what you want no flourescent are the cheapest. Then pc's are more expensive, then vhos and metal halides are generally the most expensive. The price depends on what kind of tank you want and for a larger tank you need a bigger or more powerful light.

Really a hard question. I think it would be easier for you to list tank size, and other equipment, and lighting requirments that you want. Everyone charges differently. Then there is a quality issue here as well.

I was wanting to start out with a 55 gal., not sure what lighting to get though. Any suggestions? I'll admit that i'm totally a novice when it comes to this stuff..so all the info I can get now would be totally helpful before i even start buying things...need to know how much to put to the side and save..

Heck i,ve spent thousands on my set-up and like the energizer bunny it keeps going and going and going ........... higher
