What is growing on my plate coral?

:help: i had this plate coral that ended up dieing almost 100% and then this started growing on it.. Is it algae or is it repairing it self? I am just about to take it out and throw it out!

The pic looks kinda blury or fuzzy...or is that some kind of tan algae growing on it? Can you get a closer pic?
