So do you think it might be the flow in my tank (Yes). That is the only thing I see that I can change right now. I don't much really like pointing any of my powerheads at my sand because it blows around too much. Any sugestions on my flow would be appreciated.

By looking at the picture I can see that there is no bacteria on one part of the sand. This is where the powerhead is pointing at. I think that the water circulates well around that area. Look at the sand behind the power head and in between the rocks and the back glass and at the other end (where you do not have a power head) of the tank. This areas are cover with cyano bacteria. I would recomend that you add additional power head at the right side of the tank pointing towards the area between the rocks and the back glass. Hopefully the added flow trough that area will be enough.

As of right now I have rearranged all my power heads just a bit. It will be a couple weeks before I can add another Koralia 2 pump to the right side. Until then I am going to try and vaccum the cyano out and see what happens between now and then. Hopefully I can keep it under control until I get the other Koralia here and in the tank. Thanks for all the help.
Thanks,

It will take more than a couple weeks to get rid of it. Be patient, do RODI water changes regularly (25% or so ~ twice a week), cut back on the light - especially white, try not to spread it around when you're siphoning it out and maybe, perhaps get some of these critters: https://www.saltwaterfish.com/site_11...ot_parent_id=4
I also run a micron cartridge for a few hours after doing a water change. While it would be helpful, I don't run any diatomaceous earth in it. I don't know this for sure, but my understanding is that diatomaceous can add Silicates to your water which the Cyano also feeds on.
I've been battling the same problem for a few weeks now. Using the above methods, it is slowly going away. The crabs have only been in the tank since yesterday, but immediately upon release they started attacking the Cyano. Bonus is they're cool looking hermits.
Good luck and keep at it. You'll beat it.

Emil
