Have a two year old 46 gal saltwater tank. About a month ago this started growing. Does any one know what it is?

I have no clue either.
Whatever it is, it seems to be thriving in nutrient rich water. My guess would be some type of algae.
I don't think it's a sponge. Possibly bacteria but I certainly haven't seen any like it. Plus, I'm not an expert.
But if you find out I'd definitely like to know.
