I read a post a while back about a red-eyed black crab... he would sit on the liverock and eye the fish as they went past. Then, presumably at night, he'd find where they slept and clip off their fins... (Ouch) Then, with the fish crippled, he would kill the fish and consume it.
Just what someone said around 6 months ago...

i think its a coast crab, i went to the store and found one, but he was lighter and had black eyes, i still don't know for sure though!

A coast crab? Or a ghost crab? A ghost crab is light, with black eyes, and is terrestrial (though lives on the beach).
There are many, many, many types of hitch hiker crabs, and most will end up being problems eventually. And, in general, one must be a crab expert to get an identification of it.

Coast crab and this is no regular hitch-hiker, he's ENOURMUS! about 6 times the size of most fiddler crabs I've seen
