Thanks, we have a few that come on lr, or had, not sure, we move lr around and forgot about them. But one of the fish I was looking at also ate plankton, so how do I know if I have plankton in my tank?
If you have the green film algae on your glass that you have to use a magnet cleaner to get off then you have just fed your filter feeders. Adding stuff like DT "can" contribute to algea growing in the tank, unless you have a TON of filter feeders or baby clams, you usually have more than enough phytoplankton in the tank, just by cleaning your glass.
Phytoplankon is generally added to reach concentrations where it is useful to creatures. For plankton, the same is somewhat true, though there are larvae in from LR creatures that also count. What fish are you considering that eats plankton?
