hey guys
right now i am running a prizm on my 29 gal. And i just set the sump up today, except no overflow or return hooked up yet, just the seaclone skimmer, 3 peices of curing/cured live rock and the hang on fuge on the 20 gal sump right now.
I want to know what is a really good skimmer to get that will go IN the sump

it has to be in the sump because i have no room.
CPR bakpak 2?

Go with a Berlin if you have the money Dan. I have a 200 Oceanic Reef with a 55 gallon tank for a sump. I keep my big Berlin right in the 55. It works best submerged 6 - 8 inches.

Check my sump reply in the reef section. You can get a smaller berlin skimmer. They make them for different sized tanks. Check the rating. Now, Sea Clone makes some good stuff. But, Berlin is hot man. But make sure you get one rated for your set up, you can deffinitly overskim.

right now the outlet to my seaclone is much higher than the water lev in the sump... there for its a waterfall of noise. lol
which skimmer will not do this?
i have placed it up against the side of the glass so it can run down to minimize the noise,

danrw84 - what i did was stack a sponge or 2 up under where it comes out, so the water falls onto the sponges. so you dont hear the water falling... just the whooshing of the air bubbles in the skimmer

I have a bak pak 2r in my sump/refugium and it is not very quiet. You get use to it, but when you turn it off to feed corals you can't believe how quiet it gets!

We used to sell the Excaliburs at the LFS I worked at back in the day. They seemed to work well. I hear good things about them often.

hey man, if you can get it to work right, why put more money into something else. Just buy more CORALS. :D
I saw the pic of your tank... looks great. Seems like everything you do so far is working well.

You could use a plastic rain gutter, that way it channels the water down to your water level. Or get a 3" pvc pipe and mod it to fit the output lip of the seaclone, I am about to board your ship. :)
