Absolutely. Cured rock is going to have the life that cannot survive in a captive environment already disposed of. It may cause a small ammonia spike from dieoff during shipping but it will be short if at all.
Uncured rock will have a lot more life on it but that means a lot more die-off. and possibly more undesireable hitchhikers.

You want to get uncured rock if the tank is a new set up. If it has already cycled then you need to go with the cured especially if the tank already has fish. Even with cured rock you my need to do something with it before putting it in an aquarium with fish unless it came from the local fs.

make sure what they have has been cured. Sometimes they like to hang on to it awhile after their shipment to make sure. Ours will put our name on the tank that the piece is in for us.

There is always a risk with adding more live rock to an established tank, no matter where it came from. The risk of dieoff and unwanted hitchhikers is significantly lessened with cured live rock over uncured, but there's no guarantee.
Just because it came from your lfs doesn't mean it's safe... or even that it's cured. Just be certain that it is cured live rock before you add it to an established tank.
Of course, there is always the option of curing the rock yourself in a big rubbermaid container...
