What is the easiest way to detach turbo snails from things

I want to give me tank a good cleaning this weekend. Is there a easy way to detach a turbo snail from the live rock and tank sides? Does it hurt them?

I use my fingernail, and gently pry them loose....Don't think it hurts...But I never asked one

Lift their shell a little bit, and touch their foot. They should release immediately to protect themselves.

If it hurts them then I am known as a sadist in the snail community!!

I found an easy way to remove them. If they are attached to a rock or something moveable, turn it upside down and they come off.

or you can just pull them off by the shell, thats how i do it and i never have problems.
No offense, but sometimes i think peolpe take things to cautiously
