What is this brown weed stuff?

I have a bunch of brown looking weed stuff in my tank. Someone said its apanasia?? Not sure if I spelt it right. It looks like polyps, but small brown with tentacles... like unwanted corals that are ugly..
How do I get rid of it???
It seems to be growing all over.. any medicine to get rid of it? What is it?
as soon as you poke it, it goes in and comes back out later..

its called aiptasia.
it is a pest anemone that will overrun your tank and can possibly kill fish and inverts.
good luck gettin' rid of it

Its difficult to get rid of. Kill it whenever you see it. Joe's Juice does a good job.

k i just ordered that.. is there anything to just put in entire tank, rather than to inject in 100 places with joes juice?
also, how do they grow and multiply?
also, does a copperband butterfly eat other stuff, or only aiptasia?

im not sure how they multiply or what copperbanded butterflies eat but i do know that you will have to inject the aiptasia individually. it is a long and slow process to get rid of it.

i had some in my 20L and i added 6 peppermint shrimp and within 3 or 4 days it was all gone. All tho i have read that some people have tried peppermint shrimp and not been as lucky as i was.
