What is this funky thing?

This was not on my LR when I first started curing it this morning. I came home, and it was there. I don't know what it is...
Now everyone can enlighten me =)

Most likely a sponge or tunicate. Good to have.....filter feeder. Just be careful not to expose it to air now that you know it is there. If it dies it will polute the tank. Transport it in water to the tank with water.

Thanks. All the live rock I have purchased in the past, I haven't come across this "hitch hiker." I like it though. I will just have to be careful during water changes because its rock is near the top of the tank.

i'm going to disagre a little...
are the first two pics the same thing as the third, and is the third basically fanning out, or is it tentacles?
possibly a feather duster if so
