What is this growing on my plants???!!!

There is this weird web like mucus growing on my caulerpa. There isn't much now but I just noticed it today. It seems to be growing on the leaves and is white and looks like a fine mesh, spider web branching, mucus and that's as descriptive as I can get. What could this be?

No it isn't alive as in moving. It seems to almost some type of fungus. It's just growing over a piece of my caulerpa. I do have flatworms but not red flatworms and they just stay on my glass and eat so they aren't the problem. I just don't know what this stuff is... :needhelp:

I have long strands coming from my caulerpa sometimes. I don't think it is anything to worry about. I think they are either a form of runner root or alkaloids seeping out.
Just make sure you constantly trim the parts of your caulerpa that become translucent and remove them from the tank.
