What Is This On My Nigar Trigger ?

I KNOW ITS NOT ICK.. HE DOES WEDGE HIM SELF IN A CAVE IN A ROCK. CAN THIS BE THE CAUSE OF THIS IRITATION? AND WHAT SHOULD I DO? :thinking:

im not sure what that is, it could be a scrach. but wedgeing himself in between rocks, thats what triggers to so they dont get eaten in the wild. their 2 fins stick out from the top and bottom and locks them in place. its a good defence.

Watch it closely and maybe it will disappear soon. It could be some type of parasite eating away at the fins but sometimes my niger has the same thing and it goes away on it's own.
