what is this on my turbo snail

It actually looks like some kind of SPS coral to me. I had one on one of my snails. Didn't have enough lights and the thing died, but it definitely had a calcarious skeleton. Touch it. Is it hard or soft and fuzzy?

if so mine will eat live brine...and when i first got mine i looke dmore like yours untill it got healthy

It does look like some type of coral...very kewl. Hopefully the coral(if thats what it is) will out live the snail!
If the coral continues to grow post additional pics...poor guy may not be able to move after a while...

good question.... wait untill it gets some color and then just place some food on it and the tenticals will SLOWLY pull it into its mouth... lucky for you snails are slow enough for it to eat

i think its cheap stuff... i see it all the time on live rock at the LFS...mine grows really slow... but its cool to watch when its healthy

my dad bought me a metal halide lamp and we're gonna mount it asap ( its garage type) were gonna pout it on the ceiling and wabbam

i would think so if the snail is under them most of the time... yours looks bigger than mine...is yours about the size of your thumb tip???

i have one of those on my snail too. Mine seems to have developed little brown polyps
