What is this?? (Photo attached)

The one I had came off when I poked it with a syringe, and then moved the needle because I was done injecting it with boiling water. From what I've heard you just have to scrape them off (however I do not know whether this will allow them to spread so your best bet is to inject boiling water).
You might want to wait and hear from other people though to be 100% sure what to do.

While we're on the "What is it" subject please help me ID this. I'm still learning so don't laugh at this: Is this a worm or an anemone?

Last photo looks like aiptasia to me. Pest anemone. I think that if you search the hitchhiker thread in the archive, you can see pics of these. Use the search function at the top of the page to look up majano and aiptasia--lots of info on these and how to get rid of them. Good luck!

Aiptasia. Nasty and prolific. You can get a couple of peppermint shrimp to eat them, but sometimes it's hit or miss with these guys. I've had both experiences with them.

I use Joe's Juice in my tank to rid of Aiptasia. It works great. Another method is to inject them with boiling water from a syringe. I don't recommend getting peppermint shrimp to rid them unless you want peppermint shrimp in your tank.

yeah... plus you might get a retarded peppermint like mine... He hides in a rock and doesn't even touch the aiptasia.
