What is this ? scary crab look a like
i have a black crab looking like thing with a claw that looks like a lobsters .....it also has some hairy legs.....he hides in the rock and he is quick, ...he came on an old rock i bought months ago ......he looks dangerous ...if anyone knows please help

Even with a pic crabs are kinda hard to identify. I would try to temp him with some food and see if he takes it. Can you describe the pincers? Are they pointy or flat and cupped for scraping?
Sometimes clues to what it might be is where your live rock came from originally.

thanks for responding.......he has a real big claw like a lobster...a body like a normal crab ...like a sali lite foot...hairy legs and walks like a spider...his legs have white at the joints...oh and he is black

Well then I would lable him as a meat eater, It's your choice but if I susspected him of murder then I would remove him, or make plans to feed him regularly.

I don't think so or you would have described him differently. The MIthrax crab would have red between the arm joints.
