i dont think anyone has ever complained of peppermint shrimp not being reef safe -
i have never seen a problem of my own or heard of others having that problem.
you might be thinking of the camel or camelback shrimp which is often confused as and sold for peppermint shrimp :

and camel back (notice the hump, and the body is not transparent) :

aiptasia sp. anemone are not bad at all they will catch any and i mean ANY
floating garbage in your water. it the long big black 1's u need to kill asap not these harmless little guys :)

Straight from my expert. AND I have seen it noted on this site as well. But thanks for the information about the camel, didn't know that one.
