Okay a few weeks ago i saw this little grey really shiny bubble looking thing forming so i went to see if i could pop it. Its hard and i cant pop it with my finger. So today i find another one the size of a quater the other is the size of a pen cap tip. Does anyone know what this is i have included pictures. The reflection is a flash light i needed to get then pictures.
Thanks for your help. Chuck

Yes, they feel very hard. But if you pop them they're actually soft. They're just highly inflated. Avoid popping them inside your tank.

yes, be carfull not to pop it, how long has your tank been set up?? very common to have it. hard to keep it in control. if you let it grow too big it will pop on its own.
some people say emarld crabs will eat bubble algea, but i have 3 emarlds and they dont eat my bubble algea.
what i do is,, when doing a change out, i use a syphone and with my free hand i try to gently wiggle it loose from the rock. most of the time it donest pop, but just incase it does i try to suck out has much of the spores as possible with the syphone.
good luck

I have had the rock and everything in the tank for about a year and a half. In december i moved so i transfered all the contents into a new tank. I only see 2 bubbles so i will try the emarld crabs and syphon while removing the bubbles. Again thanks very much
