What is this growing out my rock? It is some sort of long technical polyp of some sort. It is taking over my tank... I do I get ride of them, without killing everything in my biocube?

Its on the bottom left hand side of the ROCK near the sand and then on top of the big rock in the middle of the tank.
Is this aptaisia bad for the tank?

Coral Keeper, I think its pretty rude to say to me to bring this tank back considering you have no idea how many times I do water changes and considering that the tank and reef is in excellent health. Perhaps you should keep your rude comments to yourself, if your not going to contribute in a positive way to this forum then get out.

all coral keeper said was that there were too many fish in the tank maybe he/she is just looking out for you?

Coral Keeper is not trying to be rude. Yellow tangs need lots of swimming room. It is in the best interest for the tang. And you also have way to many fish for such a small tank, No matter how often you do water changes.

I'm not being rude to you, I'm trying to help you. I did NOT say to bring your TANK back. I said to bring the TANG back because they get up to 8+ inches and need lots of swimming space. That is very good that you do lots of water changes, but that does not give the tang any more room to swim in.

I have a 250 galloon that the TANG is going to be moved into once he gets to big for my bio cube. For now he is thriving in it. I just dont understand why everyone has to give opinions like that when they can clearly see that every fish in this tank has no deases, and the reef is looking healthy. I have a protein skimmer in the back along with a UV in order to help with BIO-LOAD. This along with changing the water 1 a week works is what has given me a success with this reef. So yes, you can keep this many fish and yes it can be succesful if one is willing to put in the work.
Put a picture of your tank up to see what we think of how many fish and what you have in there. Then you'll see how a comment like that can make you angry. Especially when you spend so much time on it.

The tang is already too big for your tank. You do not move the tang to a bigger tank when it become unhealthy. Yes you can keep that many fish in there, but it matters what KIND of fish are in it. There are lots of pictures of my reef tank and no one has a problem with my fish bioload. I am not trying to be rude to you, I am trying to help you.

i dont think Coral Keeper is concerned about the BIO LOAD. i think he is more concerned about how much room the fish has to swim. This site is about helping other out, not being rude...

Ok so back to the original question, so your saying that PEP SHRIMP WILL KILL this thing? What about that post about injecting with LEMON?

To get rid of the Aiptasia inject the Aiptasia with lemon juice, kalk paste, or boiling water with a syringe to kill it. But be care full with the kalk paste, it raises your Calcium, so don't use too much. Or you can get a few Peppermint Shrimp(Peppermint Shrimp EAT Aiptasia), but be very careful not to get Camelback Shrimp because they look almost exactly the same but Camelback Shrimp EAT Zoanthids. Good luck!
