Does it have a hard base or is it all soft? Looks like it could either be a plate coral of some sort if its hard or a ricordia if its soft.

thanks about the avitar it is one of our parrots his name is cookie monster. yes loves cookies and always gets in trouble.

It looks like a single head of Blastomussa Wellsi to me. If it is, great score! They're expensive, one head goes for $30-40 by me. Google image search "Red Blastomussa" and check out what comes up, I'm 99% sure that's what you have.

Sounds like it is having babies. Mine is starting to grow little guys off the side as well. If you google image search for it, alot of times youwill see about for or 5 of them almost looking like they are forming alittle mountain.
