I have a lettuce coral frag that I have had for 3 years. It never grew much, but it did get bigger and grew another leaf just last year. Just below it another "coral" has shown up. It does not look like the original one on the rock, it is greenish in color and the lettuce leaf coral is fleshy color.
Nor does it match any mushroom coral I have in the tank ( hairy, green stripe, or true blue)
Years ago I had put an umbrella mushroom in the tank, it was shaped kind of like this...it disappeared almost as soon as I put it in the tank...could it be that, or what do you guys think?

Looks like a small piece of Cabbage Coral - Merulina sp.

I thought it was a growth from the "mommy" at first but is a completely different color, light green when the main coral is fleshy color, is that normal? Also the little knobs look different too, it has a bump in the center while the main coral doesn't. Its edges are really fat and rounded, main coral has flat thick, edges.

Yes, it is common for smaller Cabbage colonies to have a green irridescence. You should know for sure in a few months when it grows out ;)
