The cc will end up at the top of the stack because the sand will sift down. The cc will end up trapping detrius.

Don't get the two confused.. CC is crushed coral and you can get live sand also made from aragonite... aragonite is just what the substrate is made up of.
Now, for the difficulties of cleaning the two.. CC has to be vaccuumed out to keep it from becoming a nitrate farm. Sand is kept clean by sand shifting critters and the small creatures that make the sand "live". By mixing the two you make it impossible to clean either properly.

I have fine aragonite (not super fine), but I don't think I'm going to mix it, unless I just take a little from some local place to give it the good organisms, is that fine?

Crushed coral: Chunks of crushed shells and coral up to 3/4" in diameter.
Aragonite sand: Bits of coral and shells and sand about 1-2mm in diameter.
Live sand: Aragonite sand with nitrifying bacteria already growing in it.

OH no.....
my local fish store sold me both livesand and arogonite and said I could mix it!
I did not mix it though I put the Arogonite on the bottom and the sand on the top now what do I do my tank is two months old and is doing ok but I am worried that I will not get the benefits of the live sand now and I was just going to order more "Real"livesand from Florida.
Help?!?!?Please. I hate to throw $50 down the drain.

Depends on how fine the aragonite was. If it was fine (sugar sized) you did the right thing.
If it was large (size of pea gravel) then it will make its way towards the top of the tank. Not totally detrimental. Your anaerobic bacteria will live in the LS and some bacterias will live in the larger aragonite (Crushed Coral). You will just have to keep a very strong current over the CC so no detrius collects on the bottom.

Put the aragonite sand on the bottom and sprinkle the live sand evenly over the top of it. All of the aragonite sand will eventually become live sand. This process is called "seeding."
