Here is a picture of my chromis today. Yesterday, he had a vertical white line (like scales were missing) on his side. Today, the line has gotten bigger and changed to red!
Two chromis is likely to produce aggression, but the vertical line of the wound is very odd. Can you tell if skin has been broken? Is this acting timid and running from the other chromis?
That would be a sure sign that the fish is experiencing aggression. However, because of the straight lateral appearance of that wound, I'm inclined to think that the fish injured himself attempting to hide from the aggressor fish.
Is this wound worse today?
