hi everybody,
i am new to this forum but i have been visiting alot lately. i have a 90 gallon setup with rocks and corals. my problem is that i have not been able to keep a anemone alive at all in it. i bought a long tentacle from my lfs and when i put it in my tank it just sat there. i fed it shrimp and it took it and ate once but not anymore. over the weekend it looked like it was expelling alot and last night before i went to bed it look like a pile of mush with short and curly tentacles. my lights are on for about 8-9 hours of the day and my temp is currently around 76 degrees. i test my water everyday and all the tests say the water is perfect. any input?

Remember they eat and expel waste through the same hole... but anemones can be very tough to keep alive even if your setup is ideal sometimes.
Some tanks they thrive... take an almost identical setup and they just won't live.

more information is needed, tank age, lighting, actual parameters (fine is not a parameter), filtration, occupants of the tank, acclimation prcedure used on the creature ETC. simply stating you have other things living in the tank and your parameters are fine is not enough clues to go on. people can sit here and ballpark guess all day and not even come close to the problem.
