check out a catalina goby theyre very nice looking
The catalina are very attractive but don't get one. They are a cold water species. They usually only make it a few months in warm water. By cold water I mean a maximum of 74 degrees.

Purple Firefish Goby:

Helfrichi Firefish Goby:

I sold my Helfrichi firefish gobies for about $80 and my purple firefish gobies for about 30 to 35. For an extra 45$ you could get something rare and unique. The picture doesn't do them justice. Most live fish stores only charge $125, so I don't know where you are getting your $400 difference...

The only goby Ive had is a yellow goby and he had a lot of character. He's super tiny and very out-going! He usually sat at the highest ledge of live rock.

okay, so I went to my LFS and they had a pink watchman goby that looked nice and healthy.
He lives now in my tank
! He seems very shy and is currently hiding behind rocks, let's hope he won't make it an habit... Pics will follow as soon as he comes in the "open"!
Thank you all for your recommendation, I love the other gobies look to but some are SO expensive!

Yeah, some of em' really are expensive - but like anything - you get what you pay for! I hope you enjoy your new goby and I hope he comes out and "makes friends."
