Well, as we have two different discussion going on, I guess I'll answer both.
Most enjoyable speed in my car is around 80 on the interstate and probably about the same on my motorcycle.
Top speed in my Corvette was around 162. On my motorcycle was 175 on the speedometer but they are off at that speed by around 10%.

nothing beats being on the bike and having the center striped lines turn into a single line at about 160.
its like being in a video game.

hmm my fastest speed so far which was 85 in a 70 mph highway thing. lol

Im a good driver though!!! And my mom was in the car with me and she always yells at me even if i just go 5 mph over. So when i caught myself going at that speed i slowed down slowly so she wouldnt notice

dang... i bet that was a blast!!!
It was. You had to have some "seat time" in the cars first, by going around different "mini courses" they setup with cones in the parking lot. You had to get your "card punched" at the different stations before you could set off on the main lap. Which actually was just to turn 3 on the map, to an extension road to about turn 14 which cut most of the track out. But it was just mostly about blasting down the old runway. Which was still loads of fun. I did the "Mazda Challenge" a couple years back too which was similar, just an Autocross style setup instead.

I have done 140 in both an SLR McLaren, and a Porsche 911 Carrera 4....both quite exciting.
Definitely would trade it all for some seat time in the SLR though.
Just watched the Top Gear today when Clarkson raced the boat in the SLR from Heathrow to Oslo. Man, what a car...

depends which car and what type of road, on twisty private dirt, just fast enough to break traction with the rear tires and slide around corners, on tar right around the speed limit, little over. highway coming back from being stuck up north all week 120 for the first mile just to make myself feel better then its down to 75

something of a sweet spot at a comfy 110 cruise when alone on the highway on the bike. I always seem to look down and be right in that spot if enjoying myself. Its snappy but your windsheer is not yet harsh. Just a solid slip stream to play with.
The vette doesn't like anything middle ground. Has to be under 40, or over 80 otherwise it just feels awkward when cruising at 65-70 on freeway
