hey there its me again....
just to let u know i dont have an aggressive tank just a white ribbon eel i feed the squid and krill to him and the anemones and sometimes the frogspawn/hammer...
but your cost should be no more than $70 a montrh i would think on a tank that size stocked with corals and such....
heres a pic of my tank i love it and think its worth the upkeep and cost

Wow, that is a beauty murph!!

Hope to one day have similar results even though its only a 55.
Once you got your tank to that established point...I assume maintenance and loss goes down? does it??

hey there lennon yeah cost of replacing animals due to death should go down over time.... thats y its always important to not rush and wait till your system is set up correctly and that all levels are right!!!
it will save you money in the long run.... however sometimes u just buy a pad specimin wihout knowing it and its doomed to die in captivity before it even gets to your tank.... thats y its always important to look for healthy ones before purchasing... always do research on the animal first before buying to see if u can provide the invironment needed for a successful survival...
thanks for the compliment BTW....

ecosystem 3612
please dont buy one...make your own...i got mine with my system for an extremely discounted price....my opinion anyone who is willing to pay $800 on a filter is a fool. You can make the same thing out of a 30 gallon tank for like $120 (thinking high) ...only thing that will cost you money truely is the light for $100 and the mud for $200...so a total of around $400...and your getting a good discount :) ...reminder i DO NOT dose my tank for anything. and my levels on everything are perfect ;)
Hi there..I am going shopping today and I noticed an ecosystem for $531
I just wondered what the difference was between the ecosystem or refugium?
thanks...

here's a way to keep your costs down. if you go on petsmart.com and go to the marine section or saltwater section they sell 5 gallon buckets of salt for 13 bucks. well if you print it out and go to the nearest petsmart they will honor that price if you bring it in

remember though, when you make your own ecosystem out of buckets...your display (will look trashy and unprofessional...when you show people you want it to look nice, so remember if you are going to make your own, make sure it looks nice...other wise...EWWW hehe

Oh, but mine is hidden below in a cabinet. I would never want to see that part of the tank anyway...and If I do..I can just open the cabinet.
