What is your "show fish"?

From the little experience I have, and that is VERY little, it seems many people have a tank with some pretty basic common varieties of fish and then at least one special "show fish". I was just wondering, if you have one what it is and perhaps what it was about that fish that made you choose it.

edit : BTW, my wife posted this as me. She logged me out, logged herself in, and made the post. Wierd how it showed up as me.

I guess I don't have a special fish but I would say that my show fish is my two-spot bistletooth tang. You don't see them offered here much locally so I wanted something different. It is also my biggest fish.

A 12" Sohal is my show fish, but I think all my fish are pretty cool.

I run a nano tank so I dont really have a show fish. I guess the coolest fish I have is a Coral Beauty. But my favorite is my clown. Pretty typical ehh?

My Hippo Tang, Fridmans Orchid Dottyback and my lemonpeel angel are my pretty fish. All the others are basically CUC, I have perculas clowns because my Mom likes them. LOL, I just noticed of the pretty fish...I have small (Dottyback) medium (Angelfish) and large (Hippo Tang). I love them for the eye popping color, my freshwater fish were mostly silver with a little color on the fins.

IMO your showfish is the one you like best...LOL

in my 54G...it's my flamehawk (altho I just got a lemonpeel....so that may change)

my 29G...it's the chalk basslet

my 225G....I could never pick one....altho my sailfin tang is big, healthy and beautiful....I could tell you something about each fish...but I don't have all day LOL

My plan, is to have the McCosker's be the "show fish" with the flame angel coming in a close race but taking second. I forsee the spotted mandarin, when he is in there a year from now, as taking the lead. Dunno, but after the good news we got in the mail today, I could care less and just want to go buy the damn tank!

AH YES....I had one once...funny thing though....it liked the carpet better then the tank

I think my final fish for the 225G are going to be 3 Filament Flashers...I have not decided 100% yet....I rally wanted the Lyretail Anthias, BUT for some odd reason they do not make it in my tank...I will not try them again :(

My big Crosshatch is definitely cool, and pretty much the definition of a 'show fish,' but my angels and other fish are up there too.

We really don't keep any "normal" fish, so all of them are "show fish" in their own right. However, just by virtue of sheer size and presence, our P. volitans is very notable:

Then again...

You get the idea...

We've been eyeballing a crosshatch pair. Very awesome looking fish. Maybe when we get the inwall tank going :)

My Koran angel and Foxface are the largest fish in the tank right now, so when people come in they tend to ooh and ahh over those two the most. But for me, my favorite fish are the male green mandarin and the McCosker's Flasher. Much smaller, but sooooo much more personality IMO. Those are also the two fish being moved into the seahorse tank for the move.

I absolutely LOVE all of my fish! My lawnmower blenny and my yellow head sleeper goby have the coolest personalities that people enjoy watching. My clowns have the coolest symbiotic relationship my coral beauty is the most beautiful, my firefish had the neatest swimming pattern, and the fuzzy dwarf I had for 3 days was overall the most unique in looks and stealth. haha, guess I love to show all of my fish so I would consider them ALL my "show" fish
