Sorry Crimzy, Everyone figured the Lakers were a big if. It should be interesting in the finals, but I still think the Lakers will be on top in the end. My earlier post said, see you in the finals. Maybe next year....

i am a complete lakers fan and from watching this season and the playoffs there will be no way that boston can beat the lakers in the playoffs because they had an awsome season which means that they got the easier ride thats why they got denver number 8 seed and they swept them then they got the next easiest team of the 3 the jazz and won in game 6 then the spurs and took it in game 5
look on the other side the celtic the best team in the nba the the laker next.the celtics were number 1 seed in the playoffs and played the number 8 seed atlanta in the east and it went to game 7, then 2 number 6 seed the cavs and again to game 7
then the pistons number 2 seed and took it to game 6
it will be a good NBA bfinals but i know the lakers will come up on top

I disagree. Pau and Kobe cannot match what Boston will throw at them offensively. And defensively, Boston is a good enough team to get through the 1 or 2 superstar team. I say Boston in 6 or 7.

You also thought the Spurs would beat the Lakers, they only managed one game...You just want to believe that the East is better than the West.
Lakers will win one of 2 in Boston, then sweep their 3 at home....Lakers in 5

At least I hope so

Hopefully the Lakers can step on the leperchahns again

Just for your infomation the Celts are 8-2 all time vs the Lakers in the Finals, they also lead the Lakers in total championships 16-14. And just for the record the Celts and Lakers account for 30 of the 61 total NBA championships. This will be a Finals to remember, but I do agree that if the Lakers steal one n Bean-Town it wll be difficult for the celts to bounce back. GO CELTS!!!!!!!!!!

You may be right... I never really did that well betting on sports.
I can tell you though that I just don't see LA stopping Boston's big 3. Detroit is one of the best defensive teams in the NBA (much better defensively than LA), and we could not stop those guys. Kobe may go off for 35 per game but I just don't see that being enough here.
Either way, I do not have a real preference as to who wins here. It will be a fun series to watch. No one's winning in 5 games.

Boston already got past the one man team in the cavaliers, so why cant they do against kobe and the lakers? I say celtics in 7.

I'll eat crow for the Spurs blowing several leads and letting LA take the series. However, if LA does win it all, you can put a big asterick next to it, since Crawford pretty much handed them Game 4. I guess Duncan should've laughed at him again....

Don't cry about the no call. You can't expect the refs to call a ticky tack foul in the final seconds to decide a game. The fact is that, even after Derek Fisher made contact with Barry, Barry still took another dribble, stepped to the side and fired up a shot. None of the Spurs were complaining about the call... neither should the fans. It was a good no call.

Not to mention the blown call a few seconds earlier on the shot clock violation. If they had made that call correctly the spurs wouldnt have been in that position anyway.

yea right. Look at the picture. Fisher was on top of him. If he wasn't, he wouldn't have had to, "dribble, step aside, and fire up a shot." What media are you reading? The Spurs did complain, but in a graceful way. They're not stupid. The NBA even acknowledged it was a blown call. It's a known fact the refs aren't going to call anything at the end of a game, especially a foul like that. If he had called it, he'd never work another playoff game. All the rich, overpaid, blowhard LA fans would've seen to that.
BTW, who in their right mind would pay $3300 face value for a floor seat to a basketball game?

I know David Stern is routing for 7 games...The playoffs have frankly been a little disappointing thus far. The Spurs/Suns first round seriest stunk, the Lakers have won all their series easily including the anticipated matchup with the defending champs, neither conference final went to seven....Don't get me wrong, there has been good stuff, but the series that should have been good could have been a lot better.

Hate to break it to ya but the lakers have won the last two finals they faced Boston, not that that means anything in 2008.

Coming from a Cavs fan, you're absolutely right about my guys being a one man team. However, if you are comparing the rest of the Cavs to the rest of the Lakers (sans Kobe) then you are sadly mistaken.
I'm pretty sure Pao Gasol himself could beat the rest of the Cavs in a 1 on 4...
