I have a Chocolate Chip Sea star and he comes to the top and I feed him Cocktail Shrimp, Scallops, and freeze dried Shrimp. When I first got my CC I had to put the food on the bottom of the tank and put the CC on the food. You can see my stressful event at

Just make sure it is thawed and cut up real small.

Linka's require a very mature aquarium and at least 100lbs of live rock. They will not accept prepared foods. They also need to be acclimated very slowly and prefer their salinity at 1.026

Sepulatian is right. Linckias don't accept ANY prepared foods.

Yep, and I know it says on that site they will eat clams (probably just to get people to buy them), but I think alot of their information is incorrect.

Oh, I guess I need to learn a lot more before I type any more. Hope I did not cause any problems.
So for further information about Marine Life where should one go on the internet?

Consider instead the orange linckia which is an algae eater. But be sure to have protective covers (such as a sponge filter) over any intake valves so his arms don't get sucked in and damaged.
