I have a Chocolate Chip Sea star and he comes to the top and I feed him Cocktail Shrimp, Scallops, and freeze dried Shrimp. When I first got my CC I had to put the food on the bottom of the tank and put the CC on the food. You can see my stressful event at https://forums.saltwaterfish.com/t/234204/help
Just make sure it is thawed and cut up real small.

Linka's require a very mature aquarium and at least 100lbs of live rock. They will not accept prepared foods. They also need to be acclimated very slowly and prefer their salinity at 1.026

Yep, and I know it says on that site they will eat clams (probably just to get people to buy them), but I think alot of their information is incorrect.
Oh, I guess I need to learn a lot more before I type any more. Hope I did not cause any problems.
So for further information about Marine Life where should one go on the internet?

I never feed mine anything directly, heck, I hardly ever see it. Its always somewhere deep in the rocks....Whatever it feeds on, thats were its getting it from....maybe they feed on rocks...haha.
Consider instead the orange linckia which is an algae eater. But be sure to have protective covers (such as a sponge filter) over any intake valves so his arms don't get sucked in and damaged.

:notsure: I've never heard that orange linckias are algae eaters. I've never seen mine eat algae.
