What kind of algae is this coming out of my live rock?

Just wandering what kind of algae this is coming out of my live rock? Will an emerald crab eat this?

could be some kind of macro algea roots.

How do I get rid of it?

It's not bad.......u can pick it out or buy something to eat it. What size tank do u have?

ok, i think an emerald crab will eat it but if not just pick it out.

I have the same type of algae. It grows like crazy and spreads. I threw 3 emerald crabs in my tank and none of them touch it. I have to constantly pull it out by hand. Pain.

I will try an emerald and go from there. If he cant touch it the live rock will go in the trash and I start my tank up all over again...

wow, over that. U could always chizzle the piece that the algea is growing off of.
