What kind of coral is this? Please??

Just got this last night, and forgot to ask the name of it, but thought it was neat lookin. Anyone know what its called?

thank you, i thought it was lovely also. There were $24 but we took some green star polloys over in trade, so it cost us $8.00 hehehhe....

Looks more like a sponge than a coral.... in fact Im sure that its some type of sponge!

he said it was a soft coral ... it feels sort of like plastic, but its not, just kind of has that texture to it .... still thinking sponge ???

No not a carnation... they look completly different... Im still thinking a sponge... is it a hard plastic feeling or is it just like a limp noodle in the water?
