the store i got it from had gotten it in mislabelled.. they arent even too sure what it is.. anyone here know??

it looks like it has a thick skeleton.. definately not a cup type coral.... looked like a huge rock b4 it was fragged..

im pretty sure its not cyphastrea either.. rounder polyps then what that has..
cmon.. all these "experts" and noone knows??

It is definately a pagoda. Someone just fragged it so its looks a little oddly shaped. I cant tell if it is a pagoda cup or a pagoda rock due to the fact its been cut int a cube shape. I dont think i have ever seen someone frag a pagoda before that is interesting.

It was definitely put through a wet tile saw, thats why it's shaped weird.
Just watched borneman's video how to do it, he would have made that into 10 more pieces , lol

I got a pagoda cup myself and that looks just like it. Well except someone broke that one into pieces. Probably a nice coral before someone fragged it into those pieces...

the orange looks like a sunpolyp or sun-coral, if it is, it needs to be spot fed every day to stay alive. they like brine shrimp or similar.

Color means nothing when it comes to a coral ID. Here's a few pics of ocellinas grown by my LFS.


The polyps of the coral in question have much shorter tentacles than a pagoda's. I still stand by my original ID.
