2 firefish
2-3 cardinals
2 clowns
1 blenny or goby
IMO, that's too many fish. I plan on putting in 3-4 fish and one shrimp in my 20g Long.

nope. there are the long 20s as well.
if u dont believe me i can take pics for ya lol
but i think 20 L are the greatest nano. they are long and not a bvery big tank so they can be kept almost newhere. and having alonger tank means u moight be able to have more fish tht live one/off the sand bed
such a s wrasses tht burry them selves, and sand sifting gobies

What kind of 20 gallon tank is better? A 20 gallon tank that is 24 inches long, 15 inches high, and 12 inches wide. Or a 20 gallon tank that is 29.75 long, 12.5 inches wide, 12.25 inches high.

What's "better" is really up to you and how you choose to look at it. Personally, I like tanks that are long and not too tall, which the 20L is. However, a 20L needs a 30 inch light fixture, which is going to be more expensive than a 24 inch fixture. And if you have corals that need more room to grow upwards, a 20H may be the way to go. Also, a 20L has the same footprint as a 29 gallon and would require pretty much the same equipment, so the extra 9 gallons may be a plus.
