What kind of fish?????

I was curious as to what I could get with my current stock list of fish for my 37 gallon. I currently right now have
1 - small scooter blenny
3 - coral cat fish
1 - bi-color angel fish
1 - red general star fish
and soon to be 2 green chromis
I want something interesting. Knowing my tanks limits, it can handle one medium sized fish, like 2-4 inches. or 2 small fish. I mean handling it comfortably. Anything more and the fish become stressed. I have lots of live rock. I just can't decide what I want though! And although I know what my tank can handle bio-load wise. I don't know what fish would make a good addition
. I was thinking a puffer, a niger trigger, or a snowflake eel (someone already said the eel would be a bad choice for my tank though
) I was also thinking if I couldn't get any of those, perhaps a clown of some sort? Even if I didn't list the fish I would like to hear one that you think might be a good addition!

Well, a niger triger gets WAY to big for a 37, and I dont think puffers are recomended for anything less than a 50, I could be wrong though.

I would stay away from the triggers they will get to big. I would think that most puffers would get to big as well. I think that there is a puffer that stays fairly smaa around 4 inches but I am not sure you may want to look into that.

Thanks for all the help!

Although, is their ANY fish you could possibly recommend? I do like the idea of a trigger, puffer, or eel. But they all seem to be bad choices. Is there possibly any other fish that would make a nice addition to my tank
?

Well that sounds good. Are those puffers common? I have only 1, maybe 2 decent fish stores to choose from. And they usually have the more common fish. Thanks for all the help

They are fairly common and there are a few puffers in the toby family that you could probably use. Just look up puffers and try to pick out of ones that max out at 4" to 5". If your LFS doesn't get them in...you do realize this site sells fish
.

Well I ended up getting a blue spotted puffer
.
He seems great! He maxes out at about 4 inches they said at the fish store. Also he didn't really seem to mind being transferred from the fish store to the tank. I acclimated him for an hour and dropped him in. Within the first 15 seconds he began to pick on these weird hair thin worms in my tank. Which is good! Because although they clean up all the left over food. They are a real eyesore. Since it makes my sand and rock look terrible. Also he gets along with all the fish so far. Which is a plus
. Well thanks so much!

ypou could also look into gobies and there are some nice dartfish out there, the purple dart. You sould also handle some smaller butterflies (pearscale, copperband) although they are very needy fish.

Thanks! I will look into them
.
If anything though I kind of want a pair of clownfish to top it off. But not until I catch the rest of my green chromis. I don't want things getting uncomfortable for the fishies. Although I do like the idea of a butterfly or this one goby I really like...

I've had one of these puffers in my 55 for about a year and a half now. I don't think he's grown more than a half inch since I got him. I'd say he's maybe 3 1/2 to 4 inches. He's what I call my 'food breaker'. Anytime I drop a frozen cube in the tank, he breaks it up while the others sit back and wait for the fallout. He's also the most animated in the tank. Anytime I walk up to the tank, he's there to greet me. He also doesn't mind when I put my hand in the tank for any cleaning. Be careful adding Nassarius snails or clams. Mine likes to pick on them. Definitely a great pick for an addition to your tank. Don't think you'll be disappointed.
