OK I just picked up a 40 Breeder by AGA. Its the same dimentions as the 50 short, not the 55's that are tall. Its the 36" long one. Now my question is I'm looking to add 4 55watt CF's with one 150/175 MH in the center. Would that be too much for such a shallow tank? Or should I just can the MH. I'm looking to have a mixture of hard and soft corals, zoos, clams, star polyups, xenias, anenmenmnemnies :D and maybe a few fish. Its going to mostly be a invert/coral tank. Also its getting a 20L sump, with a Emperor 400, and Fluval 404, and a 10 gal fuge, gravity fed. TIA.

The single MH may not be enough for decent coverage...normally you'd need a MH for 24"...your plan may work but the ends may be left in the dark a bit...sounds like a nice system though...best of luck and keep us posted as it developes.
