what kind of shark

What kind of shark should i get for a 125 gallon. Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

if u have a steady job it may be ok. As gas just mentioned in another thread. A shark will be ok in a 125 for a bout 2 years. If u absoluetly know that u can get a 180 and all the equipment before then than it will be ok to have a bamboo or coral catshark.

180 is the minimum according to differnt sources. IMO a banded cat will be miserable in that size tank. Ive read a few sites and books that reccomend more like a 240 or 300 because they are 8 feet in length. If you put it into perspective, when that shark is full grown in a 180 gallon tank it will be half the length of the tank, and a foot longer than the width.

I was actually planning on getting a 300 in a couple years. So i guess i should wait a couple months before i decide to get a shark.

IMO/IME my bamboo was too small for even my 300gal.

yeah in a 3oo i think you could do an epaulette> They look awesome and are moe active than the bamboo. Its just that you would need the 300 when u got the epaulette. I think u can do a pair but u better ask gas or tony as im sure they know more about it than me.

no in a 125 you could put a coral cat shark
