What kind of thermometer do you use?

I use all of them...LOL.....the glass ones are cheap so I use them as back ups and for my water change containers
my 54G and 225G have digital and glass
the 29G has the stick on and a glass one

this week my floating glass one broke and all the metal beads fell into my tank. the red part didnt break, but the beads fell in and i had to remove my sump to clean it out. from now on im only using a digital one

This is why i don't leave mine in there,just a few minutes,plenty of time to get a reading.

I have only ever had one break in over 10 years of fishkeeping....(FW the longest) Just keep them in a corner or a place that does not have a lot of traffic...

i was doing a water change and i dropped the thermometer in the bucket and when i dumped the bucket in the tank, little metal balls went everywhere, when i dropped it in the bucket the bottom broke off. I didnt clean them out of the tank, i figured it wouldnt matter if a few balls rusted in there, and nothing ever happend.
I still like the glass ones the best though
