i just bought some more live rock ans was wondering what kind of things I should look for on them before I stick them in my tank. Also, what do these things look like and how do I remove them.

There are a lot of things that come on LR, and you may not see them for weeks after you put it in your tank.
I have never gotten anything bad in my LR. Some have, but put it in. You will be able to get anything bad out later.
The worst thing I have heard of is a mantis shrimp hitch hiker, but I haven't gotten one.
Part of the excitement in getting LR is not knkowing what you might get.
One word of caution. If the LR is uncured, don't put it in a tank that has fish in it all ready. QT it, until it cures. If it is cured, no problem. Put it right in.

If it's uncured rock - you might want to remove any soft rotting sponges if you see any.
Soft to the touch and they stink pretty bad.
I look over new rock and pick off any of the noticable ones.
If cured - most likely any sponges will already have rotted away.

aiptasia is also a common hitchhiker that can cause problems. Looks like a tiny anemone, it reproduces rapidly, but like a lot of hitchikers it may not show up until later.

The worst - bar none - hitchhiker would be a pregnant Carniverous Cirolanid Isopod.
Next on the list would be Mantis, crabs and Aiptasia.
next - Predatory Starfish, and ACRO bugs.
Predatory snails are on the list but are fairly easy to remove.
Nemertea are not good but I keep one just because they're rare.
