They are not "marine" fish in this sense, IMO, though they can take full salt and I believe even hypersaline. They may be found in salt marshes and such for sure, but I would say "from the ocean" is a bit misleading. That wouldn't have been my choice, personally. Take up space, and will reproduce a lot.

When they reproduce they get to go to the lfs or to who ever wants some. And I have seen them in shows in the ocean "I watch to mutch discovery and national geographic lol". That is were they actually came from saltwater and ppl started to learn they can live in freshwater.

Also ophuira my fav is the males so I could take the 2 females back and just keep the males "they cant reproduce with only one".

Well as of today pretty mutch all of them "except the black female" has been sucking in the sand and blowing it back out. The males suck in more sand and do it more often. They just suck in and eat something off of it and blow it out. There alot like a goby but they only do a moulth full and dont carrie the sand to one spot and dump it they blow it back out in the same spot or close to it.
Also today I have seen all 3 of them picking unwantted stuff off the rock. if it comes down to it I might take the 2 females back and just keep the 2 males or get 2 more males. They dont really fight they just stick there fin up real high "they are very pretty!!"

Occurs in ponds, lakes, sloughs, and quiet, often vegetated, backwaters and pools of streams and also in coastal waters
Abundant in tidal ditches and brackish canals. Feeds mainly on algae
I looked at the link it did say what was above though.

Yeah, I think I am just being annoying on the "ocean." They can tolerate high salinities in coastla marshes and such, which to me is something different. If they were truly oceanic that was somethng I wanted to find out about  Sorry about that...its an annoying side of my personality. I would definitely just keep the males if you do anything though, otherwise you will soon have a tank of baby mollies taking up valuable space...and they will be a bear to get out.

I think I might but it will be awhile before I can get to my lfs and the 2 females are preg already lol. Im thinking of taking 3 of them back and getting 2 or 3 more pretty males instead of black I should of thought when I was getting them I have to mutch black.
As for the show it was one about crocs. They were on this island and had to swim through the ocean a few miles to get to the mainland and it showed them eating sailfin mollies "that naturel brownish looking colored ones".
Anyhoo thats what I have saw and heard but if you get the pretty ones they can be more showie than some of the saltwater fish lol. I will post a pic of them after I get pics of my tank "I have 21 or 22 new corals". All frags but its a start without taking up space or making me re-arange my rockwork.
