LFS has a black starfish with orange spikes, kinda like a chocolate chip star. They are calling it a orange spot star and I was trying to research but I can't find anything like them on internet. At a different location they have a green one with orange spots and call it a Bali Star but I can't find it either. Does anyone have any idea what these actually are?

Without a picture, no.
The Bali star is not what you describe. So not sure there. If they are like chocolate chip stars they may be similar.
But with any star, you need to know this:
The tank should be at least 6 months old
For a "reef safe star" (and never buy one until you know) you need a very large tank, often over 100g with 150+lbs of LR.
Water parameters should be pristine (which means even for predatory stars, a decent size tank)
Specific gravity should be 1.025-1.026
Acclimation is critical for all stars, and should be a drip method
Predatory stars will comsume corals, clams, scallops, snails and many other things
Reef safe stars can not be spot fed and need the large tank mentioned above
These are some of the most delicate animals we can add. It is really important to not buy one until you can get a picture and a more specific ID. Lots of seastars - perhaps the majority IMO - will die in this hobby.

I got a picture of the starfish but it won't let me upload it. Any suggestions so I can get it on here
