What lengths have you gone?

to accommodate a larger tank?
We're now up to 4 tanks. A 90g fowlr, a 75g mixed reef, a 24g nano and a 12g nano.
There's a tank in our bathroom, kitchen, my shop and in the livingroom.
HOWEVER, we're now entertaining upgrading to a 120 and getting rid of the 75g. Space is a factor. We're shifting around furniture, entertaining new furniture and pulling our hair out trying to figure out how to accommodate a bigger one. I've cracked the comment that at the rate we're going, if our tanks break, we'll drown!
What have you done just to give yourself the ability to upgrade?

i upgraded from a 20 gallon to a 150 and had to rearrange my whole basement and we had to carry it through the hatchway and the was terrible lol and i had to listen to my dad yell at me for 2 days lol

we have room in our basement, or rather, we can make room in there. However, I'd prefer to have a tank that size that's filled with SPS in the main part of the house so we can at least enjoy it.

This summer I will be upgrading to a larger tank... in another state. I'm going to have to pack everything up in my 30 gallon (fish and coral) and drive it back with me along with my 3 gallon pico

Lets just say that if any of my tanks break, I will go down with the ship. I have tanks everywhere

My 180g reef I had to reinforce the floor to install, which involved knocking out a wall and part of a ceiling in the basement.
At the moment I have 6 tanks... a 180g reef, a 24g nano reef, a 120g freshwater planted, a 55g African Cichlid, a 30g FOWLR aggressive, and a 10g QT.
I just realized while typing this that I am insane.

lol, might want to look into a life vest or a small inflatable raft in case you change your mind mid-crisis.
I have a buddy in Co. who has about 20 different systems set up in his basement. One day when he was cleaning one, he lost his footing and shattered one of the tanks. It sent LR flying everywhere and shattered three others. The reef-keeper's apocalypse

I think I hit insanity long ago.
I'm being told that I have to give up one of my bigger (specifically said "big") tanks if I get this 120. So I'm thinking well... if I have to give up the 75, maybe I should look for a 220 and make it worth my while.
Something something... electric bill.... is about all I heard. I learn to tune things I don't want to hear out.

I am sorry that your friend had such an accident. It isn't a normal occurrence, but sad just the same.

I think I might have some of you beat. I have a 55g DT,30g DT both flowing in to a 10g fuge then in to another 10g fuge then to a 20g sump the spliting back in to the 55g and the 30g. then I have a 20g fancy guppy and molly tank, a 45g rubermaid tub with some koi, a 8g guppy breeder, a 1g guppy breeder, and a 1g fighting fish tank.
Am I crazy or what!
