What macro Algae in sump?

Which macro algae is best to use in a sump? Best nitrate absorber, easiest cleanup, least stink when you cut it back.

how do you know when your caulerpa goes sexual, does it start wearing skimpy clothes and gobs of make up? no seriously how do you know and do all types do it, or just certain ones, i have the grape caulerpa in my system, wanting to change it out to cheato... but i am a little afraid of the orange dust... get it cheeto?

Just dont lick you're fingers and you wont have a problem with the dust.

red or green gracileria, that is what I have in my fuge'. Ch' Morpha is great as well, personal preference is all it is. Good luck.

I originally purchasec caulerpa for my fuge. It grew like wildfire (had a bit of a nutrient problem in the beginning), and I was going to keep it. Then I started reading all these things about it going sexual, and how that can crash the tank. The last thing I want is something that is supposed to help my tank be healthy actually kill my tank.
Turns out, my lfs owner had a bunch of extra cheato from his fuge, so he sold me a ball. I pulled mostly all of hte caulerpa out of the fuge and replaced it with chaeto. I have a feeling I will be pulling caulerpa for a while though.
Personally, I think the cheato looks nicer, much less 'weedy' than the caulerpa.
