I just bought a banded fire goby and a randaii pistol shrimp because they are supposed to pair up and i think it would be really cool to see that. However, the goby is about 1" and the pistol shrimp is about 3/4". The minute i put the shrimp in he zoomed off and i have never seen it since. THe goby i saw a couple hours after i got it and havent seen it for a week now. I have no idea if they are even alive. I would not recommend spending $40 on this pair because you will not even see them :notsure:

Bummer!! I've had things like that happen too!! You hve to make sure you know their hiding habitd as well as their community habits.
I'm not a fan of the pistol shrimp as they can kill animals four times their size (one killed by coral banded shrimp, and two of my star fish.
Question - do you have any serpent starfish because they'll eat the carcass of any dead animal at night before you realize the animal was dead.
