Did you get the camera from your car, or were you nailing something to it?
Maybe building a frag tank in the car???

well while I was figuring out whether or not to drive 20 miles to the hospital to get it pulled I figured I should get a picture. I didnt get light headed or woozy, so I didnt bother. I snapped a picture. smoked a ciggarette, drank some water and sat in the shade for 5 minutes just to be sure I was okay, then wrapped some Ice in a rag wrapped it around my hand to keep swelling down and went back to work. the cranes coming tommorrow for placing the trusses and stuff had to be done.

I figured that would be my husband on Monday. We were putting a floor in our chicken coop and nailing boards to the cement wall. He hasnt had much luck in the last week with me. I acidently caught his hand in the can crusher when we were recyling, when he was trying to get the ebreak on the our lawn tractor unstuck I forgot it was in gear with his hand in it, Whoops!
I figured I was going to put a nail in his hand at the rate I was going. Those things are fun though. Our is a less expensive kind you load with the 22 shell and hammer it! Felt all gangster flipping the empty shells out of it when reloading! Hope the hand feels better.

It's the clipped head that cost ya, a full head would have provided enough drag and kept the nail were it should have been
.

Have you ever noticed on this board that when something weird or bad happens the first thought is "I have to take a picture of this and put it on the board!"

I've done something similar....
When I was just out of high school I took a job as a chef.... one of the restaurants I worked at had knives held onto magnetic strips on the wall. I went to grab one once and an extra one came down and smacked my middle knuckle. It was so sharp that my knuckle burst open and blood went everywhere. All I wanted to do was hold a rag on it until the bleeding stopped but one of the waitresses took a look and decided when she could see the bones fairly clearly that I should go to the ER. Good thing I did, the knife had cut clean through the tendon that moves my middle finger. If they hadn't sown it up right then and there I would have lost the use of that finger entirely.
Anyway, I wouldn't have gone to the ER in this case either.... ER's take the man card away and rarely give them back.

this is way more BA:
there was way more blood when I pulled it out. punctures like that dont bleed untill you pull the object out due to the object blocking the hole the skin acts as a gasket. it gushed pretty bad when i yanked it out, but at that point I was trying to stop the bleeding and get back to work. or I would have snapped more pictures.
