what overflow size works well with quiet one 2200?

Ok so im using a walmart whisper 10-20 hob filter with a ton of holes drilled in it to protect the bare end of a 3/4" pvc pipe (my syphon line to my sump) and this morning we had a power outage for about 5 minutes and flooded my sump. So i decided to buy an overflow box. But im lost as to which one to get. It has to be cheap cuz im working on a limited budget, but all the ones i see are rated at 600 gph, and i think that is more than what my quiet one 2200 pumps out at 5' head. So can someone point me in the right direction on which overflow box to get that will match well with a quiet one 2200?

I would go with a 600 gph or more. The overflow will only take in as much as the pump is putting out. I had two overflows on my 75 and one only filled half way. The problem you run into is when your return pump is rated higher than your overflow.
By the way I have two overflows for sale in the classsified section. Just thought I'd put that out there.

There is one other problem with overflow boxes. If the power goes out they may not start suction and overflow your tank. You have to have a good lift pump and make sure the line to the pump is clean.

When an overflow box says 600 gph, it really means up to 600 gph? So it will only pump as much as my return pump will do?

A 2200 with a 5ft head will pump out about 350gph A 600gph rated overflow is all you need for this rate of return. You can always overkill the overlow but what you never want to do is have a pump that pushs more water in the tank then your overflow can take out.
And to answer your question yes the gph rating on overflows are normaly the max rating. You will be pumping in about 350gph and your overflow will take exactly what your pump puts in, unless the pump is larger then your overflow can handle.
