I agree the Coralife Super skimmer is a very good skimmer and not that expensive. I have had mine for 3 weeks now it it pulls some nasty gunk. Very easy to adjust.

He said he'd send me out another one but you know how busy he is..I'll remind him next week.
Oh! did you ask him to build your with the Ocean runner pump?
No Mark I haven't talked specifics on the skimmer yet with George.....I mentioned your name and got a quick response from him.....I told him I was going to get with you on some additional stuff and then get back with him......Thanks

Golfish,
I agree, Expensive, overpriced and god save you if you need to buy replacement parts. They do make a good skimmer, I used one for years, but their customer service is second to all.
LOL! At least I will always have the folks on this board to point me in the right direction!

I have used ETSS, AquaC and Berlin Turbo. All do a pretty good job. I do find it funny, no less than a year ago several people on this board would slam everyone who did not use a Euroreef and claimed it was the only skimmer on the market worth buying and you were stupid to get anything else. But now they are not using Euroreef and now prasing the next greatest trend. Not that the latest greatest trend is not a good product. I just find it funny how fast the trends change in this hobby.

If you want I can walk you through putting one in yourself. I put one in in mine in about ten minutes. You need a couple drillbits, a tap and a threaded plumbing connection.

Currently have a dual Bakpak running on my 50, but will soon be firing up a 120 gallon tank with an ASM G4. :happyfish

I just got my first real skimmer~ a Euroreef CS6-1....yippeee
After all these years using a piece of junk skimmer,I see now what everyone has been saying about having a good skimmer.
At work we have a huge Aqua-C on our frag system...that thing is amazing!

i've heard really good things about the aqua-c, but i don't have one of those. I have a proclear 75 wet/dry filter that came with a protein skimmer built in. It's great, never needs adjusting, and it has a drainage tube, so i only have to empty the mug rootbeer container once a month.

Thanks Tony, I suggested to George that I do it but he wouldn't have any of that.

Its really not that big, just a tiny bit smaller then the ER 8-3 but a lot better built and a lot cheaper to buy. This geo retails for about 550.00 and that's using a MUCH BETTER pump. The ER is about 690.00 using the Gen X or what they like to call Beta pump.
