What salt do you use?

I am placing an online order for salt. I currenlty use Reef Crystals but it is out of stock. I have been contemplating switching to another brand anyway, so just wondering what people out there like. I am looking at Seachems Reef crystals. Anyone had any luck or dislike for this brand?

Its ok! Thanks for the reply. I liked what Seachems description had, so figured it was worth a go. If I dont like it, then I can go back to the reef crystals!

Been around the block on salts - I have settled on using Reef Crystals mixed 50/50 with Oceanic. It's a great combination for me.

You get good results my mixing the 2 @ 50/50 with no problems?

I use Kent sea salt and Instant Ocean 50/50 mix in mine and it seems to work well. The LFS doesn't have a great selection in my area so I find the mix give me the best of both worlds.

I ended up ordering the Seachem salt. Should be interesting to see if I notice any difference. I have used the Reef Crystals for 3 years. Thanks for the replies. Hadnt thought about the 50/50 thing, but have heard that before.

Is Oceanic the real high dollar one? I remember there is one that is way more expensive than all the others....

i love oceanic. will never use anything else. not a bad price, i get a 200gal bucket for $40 ($52 shipped to my front door)
stores sell it at an outrageous price, normally like $35-40 for a 50gal jug

Thanks for posting that link! I thought I saw one of those go through awhile back. Nice to see what people are using. I will give my Seachem bucket its fair shot and then see from there. Oceanic would be my next trial, possibly the tropic marine. We shall see, LET THE EXCITEMENT BEGIN!!!
