Lets see now:
Deep Oceans - never use it again
Crystal Sea - has never failed my system, but is lacking a little.
Instant Ocean - Used it for years, recent bad killer batch, using it again now.

IO but have recently switched to reef crystals.
Didn't have any complaints with IO, reef crystals just happened to be on sale and from what I hear is slightly better than IO. Will probably go back to IO unless -- is on sale again. :D

Just an FYI . . . I have heard the switching salts can have a detrimental effect on a tank and its water chemistry. I mean granted that switching once ain't gonna hurt anything as long as its a gradual shift, but I would avoid going back and forth . . . . Just my .02

IO means iodized right? I hope so, I have found that the non-iodized stuff makes the fish and corals look a little parched . . .

Thanks for the heads up, but at the rate I use it, it's a gradual shift.

I use whatever is on sale. I have NEVER found a change in my parameters when I switch to a different brand.

does anyone use Crystal Sea Marine Mix, Premium Reef Blend Salt??
One person mentions it is laking - what is it lacking in?? Just curious - thanks.
Oh - I used Red Sea on my 5 - did fine - but kalk was always near hte low end.
Used IO (Instant Ocean) on the 20 - doing fine so far.

007: IO means Instant Ocean. I am about to have to buy more so does anyone have any recent info on the problems Instant ocean has been having? The last batch I bought had some problems, but I had no choice but to use it.
